Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage Testimonials
My experience gained by attending the Northern Virginia school of Therapeutic Massage was very valuable, continuing even after graduation. Within the small class setting, my fellow classmates and I developed confidence in the fact that if we had questions or needed expansion on material, this could easily be accommodated. Preparation for the exam is just one aspect of the school. The practical clinic sessions and post feedback classroom time give you a real-time experience, allowing to develop your client interface skills, timing and adapting your bodywork to meet the needs of each client. Being new to this area, I accepted Mike Tramonte's offer to send my resume to his contacts. This yielded over 70 inquiries for my skillset; an overwhelming response to say the least, and a testimony to the schools credibility within the bodywork industry. Life will be what you make it, and it's largely driven by the choices we make. I'm thankful I made the choice to attend Northern Virginia school of Therapeutic Massage.

NVSTM provided me with the secure, empathetic environment I needed as I began the journey to becoming a Massage Therapist. I look back toward December of 2011 when I began classes and marvel at my progress. A year later I am a certified, licensed therapist beginning a new position in Falls Church, Virginia. The school certainly taught me what I needed to know regarding the human body. It is an excellent school. Perhaps more important, and yet harder to explain, is the school's nurturing environment; an atmosphere which allowed all of us to reach out, try things new, and develop the confidence we needed. The following is a quote I took from the school's website: This business is very human. We began to marvel at ourselves as we learned to relate to people in ways we couldn't before studying this therapy. For me, it has been a very expansive journey. For this I thank you and the entire staff at NVSTM.

The Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage is a great school. It's great because all of the instructors and administrators care about the students on a personal level, and because they care about teaching the most relevant subject matter and techniques of massage therapy, they are producing the most qualified Massage Therapists. I feel fortunate to have found and attended NVSTM because I received a great education. My instructor, Yvonne Lovejoy, was a wonderful teacher and a phenomenal massage therapist. Her medical background helped her to explain and enhance the science related Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology courses and really gave us all a more thorough education. Her many years of practicing massage therapy taught her many key insights and subtleties, which she passed on to us. Most important, she cared about us and instilled in all of us her confidence and many tools to help us succeed. After graduation, we received additional help registering for, studying for, and taking the National Certification Exam. The school's director, Mike Tramonte offered resume writing and job interview help, and job hunting skills. Several months after graduation I still struggled to find a place of employment that was a good fit for me. I turned to NVSTM for help and Mike Tramonte put me in direct contact with several business and venues, including my present employer, George Mason University. Without his valuable help, I may never have found the niche that was the perfect fit for me, and is in many ways, my dream job. I have returned to the school many times to visit and I am always welcomed warmly by the faculty who are always so happy to hear of the success I am finding. And every time I have reached out to the school for anything, they are always quick to respond and give me all the help they can. The Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage is a great school. It taught me many valuable lessons and taught me to become a great massage therapist, but the lesson that has proved most useful is how to care about people.

My experience at Northern Virginia School of Massage has been exceptional! I could not have asked for better instructors or a better learning environment. Northern Virginia School of Massage has helped mold me into the Massage Therapist that I am today. Many thanks to Mike and his staff!
I attended the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage from June 2009-December 2009 and my experience was excellent. I say experience because you are not just there to learn, but to grow, and NVSTM was the perfect environment for this. The vibe is warm and welcoming, the staff is always caring and helpful, and the instructors are passionate about massage therapy and really care that you are getting the most from your education. When I finished the 6-month program I felt confident in my knowledge and skills as a massage therapist and prepared for my career ahead. The curriculum is strong and well rounded, and you receive plenty of hands-on training. Class sizes are kept small to ensure personal attention from instructors, which I really liked. The program seems to fly by, and it is hard work, but you are fully engaged the whole time and will leave ready to call yourself a professional.
