This 18-hour, 2.5-day course is designed for massage therapists who have completed foundational prenatal massage training and wish to deepen their skills. Participants will learn advanced assessment and treatment strategies for common and complex pregnancy-related concerns, including hip and body alignment issues, "lightning crotch" (pelvic nerve pain), breech presentation, working with multiples, pitting edema, constipation, hemorrhoids, heartburn, and indigestion. Instruction also covers safe work during the first trimester, adaptations for supporting clients in preparation for birth, and techniques to support labor preparation without overstimulating contractions. Therapists will learn to avoid complications related to high blood pressure, preeclampsia, and preterm labor while remaining within scope of practice. The course emphasizes individualized treatment planning, safe and effective advanced techniques, and clinical decision-making. A supervised public clinic day allows students to integrate skills with real clients in a professional setting.
