Job Description: Licensed Massage Therapist

 

Vedic Health, an established Ayurvedic wellness clinic in Rockville, MD, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our integrative care team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in therapeutic massage techniques and a commitment to providing excellent care in a holistic, client-centered environment. Familiarity with Ayurveda is a plus but not required.

You will work closely with clients to assess their needs and deliver individualized treatments that promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being.

Duties

• Perform a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, tailored to each client’s needs.
• Conduct thorough client assessments and maintain accurate treatment records.
• Communicate effectively using medical and anatomical terminology, and collaborate with other healthcare and wellness professionals.
• Provide exceptional customer service in a calm, welcoming, and supportive setting.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards, including client confidentiality and hygiene protocols.
• Contribute to a team-based, integrative care model within a wellness center focused on root-cause healing and whole-person care.
• Stay informed about current trends in massage therapy, pain management, and wellness practices.

Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Maryland Massage Therapy License.
• Proven experience in therapeutic massage, with particular expertise in deep tissue and trigger point work.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Experience in a med spa, wellness clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Interest or familiarity with Ayurvedic principles and holistic wellness is a bonus, but not required.
• Ability to assess individual client needs and adapt treatment plans accordingly.
