Part-Time Medical Massage Therapist(contractor)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-Time Medical Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience and a passion for helping clients reduce pain, improve mobility, and support their overall wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a variety of therapeutic massage techniques, including deep tissue, trigger point, and specialty massages.
- Assess clients’ needs and develop appropriate massage treatment plans.
- Provide treatments focused on pain management, muscle tension, mobility, and recovery.
- Maintain accurate client treatment notes and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with clients and healthcare providers when appropriate.
- Create a welcoming, professional, and comfortable environment for every client.
- Follow all applicable health, safety, sanitation, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the state of Virginia.
- BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
- Background check required unless board-certified
- Experience with medical or therapeutic massage preferred.
- Proficiency in deep tissue, trigger point, and other specialty massage techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, dependable, and client-focused.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare/wellness team.
Schedule: Sun- Tue; hours to be discussed
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
