During this course, students will learn the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system and practice therapeutic massage techniques and sequences to drain the lymph system. Students will be instructed on both the theoretical and applied bodywork practices used to dramatically engage the lymphatic system, promoting both superficial and deep visceral drainage. Lymphatic massage has been therapeutically indicated for traumatic and post-surgical edema, and in the treatment of migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, stress, fatigue, and seasonal allergy and immunology. Students will learn basic treatments for the entire body and will practice/receive sequences with a partner.

**Students may be asked/required to wear a mask while in class.

*Students will be asked to bring:

• 1 set of sheets

• 1 pillow (to use as a bolster)

• 1 towel or pillow case for breast drape

• 1 hot water bottle

• Cold-pressed Cold-processed Castor oil

• 2-3 hand towels (a 100% cotton flannel pillowcase can be substituted for one towel)

• Dry brush or wash cloth
