Job description: Licensed Massage Therapist (Independent Contractor)
Salary:
Independent contractor model (1099-NEC) Set your own rates within a recommended range Revenue share: 80/20 or 60/40 split depending on if a client is referred to you by AWE or RAMP, or if you are bringing in your own clients You may establish your own discounts and deals as you see fit. Potential support with basic continuing education (CEUs) for the right candidate
RAMP / AWE Wellness is seeking a passionate, skilled, and motivated Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our collaborative team of exercise kinesiologists and other wellness professionals. This is an independent contractor (1099-NEC) position designed for therapists who want to grow their own clientele while benefiting from an integrated, supportive environment.
Position Overview:
As an LMT with us, you’ll work alongside kinesiologists, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other specialists to provide adaptive, client-focused massage therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Booking and managing your own massage appointments
- Collecting Payment using the Clover Register for your appointments
- Performing focused, adaptive massage therapy sessions
- Maintaining accurate, HIPAA-compliant client notes
- Collaborating with allied health professionals
- Cleaning and maintaining massage equipment and shared treatment room
- Laundering your massage sheets (washer/dryer on site)
- Purchasing your own preferred oils/lotions (some provided)
- Optional participation in self- and group-marketing events
- Assessing client posture and physical condition
- Responding appropriately to client needs and cues during sessions

Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited massage therapy program
- Current massage therapy license in Virginia
- Professional liability insurance (ABMP or AMTA)
- Strong foundation in anatomy, kinesiology, and rehabilitative massage
- Commitment to professionalism and client-centered care
- Willingness to operate as a self-employed contractor (1099-NEC status)
