Job Description:

Licensed Massage Therapist – Therapeutic & Thai Massage Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) with expertise in Therapeutic and Thai Massage to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of body mechanics, holistic healing practices, and a passion for helping clients achieve physical and emotional well-being.

Salary: Percentage of bookings plus tips – 1099 Contract

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality therapeutic and Thai massage sessions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Assess clients’ physical conditions and symptoms to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Educate clients on post-treatment care, stretching techniques, and wellness practices.
  • Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the treatment area.
  • Collaborate with other wellness professionals to provide integrated care.
  • Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current massage therapy license in Virginia.
  • Formal training in Thai Massage techniques.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in therapeutic massage.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt techniques to suit a wide range of client needs and preferences.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other modalities such as deep tissue, sports massage, or myofascial release.
  • Familiarity with MassageBook software for scheduling and documentation.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Discuss and document client’s symptoms, medical history, treatment goals, and evaluate their physical condition to identify areas of tension or pain.
  • Develop personalized massage plans based on client needs and preferences
  • Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire.
  • Perform professional quality massage, within scope of practice and licensing.
  • Document client sessions, progress, and relevant medical information.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming space for clients
  • Build rapport with clients through friendly and helpful attitude, addressing their needs and concerns
  • Follow all company hygiene and sanitation policies and protocols.
