Pay: $290.00 – $860.00 per week depending on how many days scheduled

Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team at Middleburg Acupuncture & Apothecary! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various massage techniques and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic massage services to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments to determine individual needs and treatment goals.
• Provide a range of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
• Educate patients on the benefits of massage therapy and self-care techniques for pain management.
• Perform a 60 minute massage treatment within your skillset of practice and licensing.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments provided and progress made by patients.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all clients.

Skills:

• Strong patient service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and provide an accurate assessment to identify areas of concern and treatment.
• Knowledge of pain management strategies and how they apply to massage therapy.
• Understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic practices.
• Massage therapist must be licensed to practice in Virginia and provide their own insurance coverage.

Flexible hours (4-12 patients/week; Wednesdays and Saturdays preferred)

The clinic will provide all supplies such as sheets, creams, and oils. The building includes an elevator for handicapped patients.
