Alexandria, VA | Mondays & Fridays 10 AM – 6 PM, Saturdays 10 AM – 3 PM

Expected hours: No less than 5 per week, 21 hours when fully booked

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our results-driven team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques — and takes pride in providing exceptional, customized care that promotes relaxation, recovery, and overall wellness.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional, modern med spa alongside estheticians, nurse practitioner and permanent makeup artists experts in a collaborative, client-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough client assessments to determine individualized needs and treatment goals
  • Perform various massage techniques — including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage 
  • Customize each session with a focus on therapeutic benefit and client comfort
  • Educate clients on post-treatment care, self-maintenance, and complementary services that can be completed within our own spa
  • Maintain accurate treatment records and uphold all spa sanitation and safety standards
  • Arrive 30 minutes before scheduled appointment times to prepare treatment space and review client notes
  • Stay current on industry trends, continuing education, and new techniques relevant to med spa practice
  • Collaborate with esthetics and wellness staff to support integrated treatment plans

Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia Massage Therapy License
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
  • Experience with deep tissue, trigger point, or pain management techniques preferred
  • Prior experience in a spa or med spa setting a plus
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
  • Passionate about holistic wellness and continuous learning
