Job Description: Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
At Luna Massage Studio, we believe massage therapy is more than relaxation — it’s a path to healing, restoration, and whole-body wellness. We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing studio in Northern Virginia.
Our studio focuses on personalized therapeutic care, listening deeply to clients’ needs, and creating customized treatment plans that help improve mobility, reduce pain, relieve stress, and support long-term wellness.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Virginia-licensed Massage Therapist who is passionate about therapeutic bodywork and creating exceptional client experiences. The ideal candidate is reliable, client-focused, and confident performing a variety of massage modalities including deep tissue, Swedish, sports massage, prenatal massage, and wellness-focused treatments.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions tailored to each client’s individual needs
- Perform modalities such as:
- Deep Tissue Massage
- Swedish Massage
- Sports Massage
- Prenatal Massage
- Aromatherapy Massage
- Conduct client consultations before each session
- Maintain accurate SOAP notes and client records
- Educate clients on wellness, self-care, stretching, and recovery techniques
- Maintain treatment rooms in a clean, sanitary, and professional condition
- Create a welcoming and relaxing environment for all clients
- Uphold Virginia massage therapy regulations and professional ethics
Qualifications
- Active Massage Therapy License in the State of Virginia (required)
- Professional liability insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to customize treatments based on client needs
- Experience with therapeutic and wellness-focused massage preferred
- Reiki experience or holistic wellness background is a plus
